Fencing contractors across the North East

Close-board, panel and slatted fencing, plus timber decking, fitted for homes in Newcastle, Durham, Sunderland, Morpeth and the wider North East.

We set posts to the right depth in concrete, use gravel boards to keep timber off the ground and fix everything straight and level, so your fence copes with North East wind and weather. Whether it’s a straight swap of an old fence or a full new boundary with gates and decking, we plan it with you first.

Timber decking and balustrades

Where a garden slopes or you want a raised seating area, timber decking is a great option. We build decks on a solid, level frame with steps and balustrades, and blend them into the fencing, patio and planting around them.

  • Raised and ground-level decks
  • Steps, handrails and balustrades
  • Pressure-treated timber
  • Combined with patios and fencing

Fencing questions

Quick answers to the questions we get asked most.

Can’t see your question? Get in touch or call 0191 245 5045.

How much does new fencing cost?

It depends on the length, height and style of fence, the post type and how much old fencing needs removing. We’ll measure up on a free visit and give you a clear written price.

Should I choose timber or concrete posts?

Concrete posts with gravel boards are very long-lasting and won’t rot. Timber posts look more natural and suit slatted or close-board styles. We’ll recommend the best option for your garden and exposure.

Do you remove the old fence?

Yes. We take down and clear away your old fencing as part of the job, so you’re left with a tidy site.

Do I need permission to put up a fence?

In most cases you don’t need planning permission for a fence up to 2 metres in a back garden, or up to 1 metre next to a road or footpath. It’s always worth speaking to your neighbours about a shared boundary. We’ll talk it through with you.

Can you build decking as well?

Yes. We build raised and ground-level timber decks with steps and balustrades, often as part of a wider garden makeover with fencing, patios and planting.
